I used a small piece of the artisan bread to make two pieces of naan and added leftover steak, veggies and thousand island dressing for a delicious Deal Island sandwich.
Yesterday we had pizza for lunch and leftover chicken and new French fries with the cucumber and tomato salad. I have been planting seedlings to get them ready for when there is space in the garden. I and getting to the last of the broad beans and snow peas and that will offer some room. I had fun playing with the compost, which the skinks love, the other day. I mixed the oldest compost into soil, covered the newest with a burlap tarp and put a lid over the medium batch. Solid gold.
Yesterday I made a loaf of bread, biscotti, yogurt and ginger ale. It’s hard to keep up with Tim’s appetite. Today I think I’ll make a batch of bagels.
Island life is good.
