Meals 58 – 60, make room in the fridge


Today was the day to tackle the vegetable drawer in the refrigerator. We currently have an abundance of carrots and cucumbers. I made a batch of carrot raisin muffins and a jar of pickles.

We needed more bread so I made 2 loaves of the delicious white bread. Yesterday’s batch of yogurt turned out well, which means I have stretched the package to make 3 batches of yogurt. My ginger beer didn’t carbonate but tastes delicious. Maybe the cap wasn’t tight enough. I’ll try again.

Breakfast: 2 usuals with bagels and peaches.

Lunch: spinach cheddar omelet with bacon and carrot raisin muffin.

Dinner: grilled pork chops with brown rice salad and applesauce, topped off with homemade toffee.
