It was a lazy day for me. I made a batch of yogurt and had my first batch of Kefir for breakfast. Then I thought about baking bread and cookies but it never happened. I didn’t even make dinner. But I found a recipe for a simple fruit dessert called a buckle, which is too easy. it’s in the Cooks Illustrated Kindle book. You melt butter in a 8 x 8 dish, mix a batter of flour, baking powder, sugar and milk and pour it in, then top it off with fruit (canned apples in this case) and bake it.
